Nico Lindsay – Haunted Freestyle [Prod By S-X] [Free Download]

Since he dropped the On My Mind release alongside Essex based producer Exo Remedy things have been a little bit quiet from Nico Lindsay but that all ends today as he drops this brand new freestyle ‘Haunted’ on which he goes in over an S-X producky.

Without sounding disrespectful to anyone else in the scene Nico Lindsay shows us exactly why he’s one of the best in the scene as he effortlessly drops lyrics over a somewhat haunted production (very apt title right?) but it’s Nico’s lyrical content that places him above so many, he doesnt just drop bars for the sake of it and none of it is just ‘Noise’ every Nico Lindsay track is well thought out, well delivered and more often than not a banger.

Nico Lindsay – Currently Thinking [Official Video]

Everybody who knows us here at MindOfGrime knows Nico Lindsay is one of our favourite artists, whether he’s dropping huge freestyles, tearing up radio sets or dropping new tracks Nico Lindsay epitomises what a talented artist should be, turning his hand  to rap on this new one titled Currently Thinking Nico proves he’s just as comfortable on rap then he is on a grime beat as he attacks in the usual style & vigour we’ve become accustomed to from Nico over the past few months.

Obese Sending For Bloodline

Brand new freestyle here from The Circles Obese on which he sends for Bloodline yet again, the bars from Obese are fully on-point as with most of his music but his flow is slightly weak on this freestyle, still check it out below.

Nico Lindsay – Loud & Clear [Prod By Dj Myrikal]

One of my favourite mcs without a doubt is North Londons Nico Lindsay, from the early days when he was known as ‘Problem’ and he dropped the Stress Levels mixtape up until working alongside Kwam and Avalanch on the Best On The Patch release and the huge ‘On My Mind’ alongside Exo Remedy, Nico Lindsay has continued to impress and continued to make a big mark in the grime scene.

He returns here with a brand new track ‘Loud & Clear’ which is produced by Dj Myrikal (famous for the Riko track ‘The Phone Call) and it’s huge, full of the clever ad-libs, metaphors and rhyming schemes that make Nico Lindsay so intriguing, listen below.

Nico Lindsay – Street Starz Spotlight Freestyle

If you dont know Nico Lindsay then get to know, one of the most gifted all rounders in the scene Nico is a young mc with bags of talent who is equally as adept on grime as he is rap and dubstep and he shows off his lyrical ability to the maximum on this brand new Spotlight Freestyle for Street Starz.

Going in with some top heavy ad-libs and metaphors are what Nico Lindsay is about and this freestyle is no different, his somewhat laid back style is different to the usual hype we hear on grime tunes and it works, there’s no need for shouting or just ‘noise’ with Nico, every bar is carefully thought out and delivered in a manner that begs the listeners attention.

To say he goes in here is an understatement, this is Nico at his grimest finest, the bars are on-point, the delivery is on-point and everything gels together perfectly, this is the first of two freestyles Nico has done with a rap freestyle following soon, but it’s on grime where I really like Nico and this freestyle proves exactly why…listen and watch below.

Obesity, Nico Lindsay and Trim Freestyle [Sends For Bloodline]

It seems as if it’s open season on Bloodline, first we heard Killa P sending bars in their direction then Manga took up the reigns by sending over the Skepta beat ‘Mike Lowery’ and now thanks to a recent freestyle on Tim & Barrys Obesity, Nico Lindsay and Trim collectively known as The Circle take their turn to put Bloodline in their place.

What all stemmed from a few Big H bars and a subsequent interview this war, although slowly has been picking up pace in recent weeks, we heard two Trim disses, Stars In Their Eyes on which he mimicked Bloodlines Big H, Paper Pabs and Prez T and On Whateva, things then went quiet for a while but Prez T lit the blue touch paper once again with a send for Trim on Logan Samas KissFm show which is probably the reason why we get this freestyle and sends from Trim, Nico and Obesity.

All three go in, dropping greeze bars and directs towards Bloodline and the freestyle ends with a sort of parody of the Big H interview, all in all it seems as if warring season is in full motion, Wiley v Dot Rotten and half the grime scene v Bloodline, lets hope for more dubs, but for now listen to the freestyle below.
